Had a lovely meal this evening. The service was friendly, welcoming, attentive and professional. Really nice menu with plenty of choice and the food was tasty and obviously high quality ingredients used.The decor is lovely and adds to the lovely welcoming ambience.
I came last year to listen to a band on a Sunday & they were more interested in the Ireland vs Scotland rugby game .
We had a family celebration last night at the hotel & thoroughly enjoyed the carvery. A fab selection & excellent food. We went the day before & left balloons, cake etc & the staff decorated the table so nice . A lovely meal & brilliant service, looking forward to a return visit.
A great hotel with a very reasonable bar and really good restaurant. We have stayed before and were lucky enough to be given the same room overlooking the water. The location is perfect for a walk to the harbour or into town. Staff are all friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place.
Stopped off for lunch so can't comment on rooms Only a burger and flatbread available for a vegetarian, but I wasn't disappointed. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Service was prompt a d friendly. Would definitely recommend for food. Thank you!
Fantastic overnight stay with family. Autumn package £145 per room that includes two people, a 3 course evening meal, overnight stay and a complimentary bottle of wine for the table also a full cooked breakfast and choice of continental aswell. Had an impromptu stop here on Friday night before our ferry in the morning, had originally planned to sleep in the campervan at the port, so glad we changed our mind, lovely hotel, large room, clean, tidy and very comfortable. The kitchen had closed but reception lady recommended the Indian restaurant across the road (Mayur) and we had a lovely meal. Nice hot power shower before bed and then a pot of tea and toast before heading to the ferry port in the morning. Karen was on duty and she was just lovely and attentive. What an absolute Gem and would highly recommend staying here.
Went here Sunday for lunch, and was definitely not disappointed, staff were really friendly and polite, as we had booked on the day and arrived within the hour, everything was smooth and flawless. We opted for starters, of which were chilli chicken, and garlic bread, of which both were cooked and prepared beautifully. The strips of chicken where crispy on the outside, and moist and succulent in the inside, and the garlic bread was crispy and yet soft and really appetising. Mains were both the turkey and ham dinner, and both were done to perfection. The turkey was wrapped with the ham, and cooked perfectly, and the stuffing was rolled within the turkey, and tasted delicious as well as a perfect accompaniment for the whole dish Large portions, and accompanied along with sides of mash, and I opted for roast potatoes, and of course butter. The roast potatoes were done to perfection, and as I enjoy butter with them, that added a real sensation to the dish. My wife said the mash potato was also soft and really tasty. Also vegetables, carrots broccoli etc. which added to the whole dining experience. It was really filling and tasty, and worth a visit, as also in the near future, it is going to provide a buffet. If you're looking for a real full feed, then this place is worth the visit.
